Rework return to Exlove Records with Disco Love Remixes EP, a three-track release that places their machine-led sensuality between dark disco, electronic body music and hypnotic techno.
At the centre of the record is Disco Loves, a special edit carrying the retro character associated with the Playhouse era. Its pulsating bassline and cold-wave textures create a nocturnal tension without losing the seductive groove that has long defined Rework. Rather than chasing an oversized climax, the track advances through repetition, pressure and carefully controlled movement.
Jennifer Touch pulls the material towards a more emotionally exposed space. Her remix combines dark-wave elegance with a commanding club structure, retaining the original pulse while giving its atmosphere additional weight. There is a rawness to the interpretation, but it never disrupts the record’s controlled aesthetic.
Neu-Romancer takes the opposite route, sharpening the rhythmic mechanics and introducing a more bouncing, hypnotic momentum. Cinematic details move around the groove as the remix develops into the EP’s most direct warehouse proposition.
Together, the three versions form a coherent but varied release. Disco Love Remixes EP does not merely revisit one composition; it examines how tension, sensuality and machine rhythm can change when placed in different hands.
