With its 50th catalog entry, Melomana Records celebrates both legacy and experimentation. “Singular o Regular”, the new EP from seasoned Mexican producer Diaz Tech, arrives as a bold statement — fusing raw club energy with cerebral textures, analog grit, and hypnotic structure.
The EP features two original tracks. The title track “Singular o Regular” and its counterpart “Señal Auditiva” are rooted in electro and EBM, pushing a dark, loop-driven architecture designed for late hours and smoky dancefloors. Diaz Tech blends his signature elements — rough-edged percussion, acid-dipped basslines, and spoken-word vocals — to craft a sound that is both physical and narrative.
Remix duties come from two distinct corners of the scene. Panka Panka offers a stripped-down rave interpretation with acidic overtones, highlighting the EP’s darker instincts. Meanwhile, Martín Noise & Javier Ferreira bring a break-inflected groove to “Señal Auditiva”, injecting funk and texture without losing the track’s core intensity.
Diaz Tech’s work sits comfortably at the intersection of indie dance, techno, and EBM, yet his approach is unmistakably personal. There’s a tactile quality in his production that honors both analog heritage and digital evolution.
“Singular o Regular” is not just a milestone release for the label — it’s a moment of clarity for an artist who continues to define his sonic identity with precision and power.
