Gutta, aka Federico Guttadauro, has made an art of joining the dots between the old school and the new in his music. Federico! It’s great to have you with us; how’s life?
Hello guys and thanks for having me, it’s a pleasure.
This month, you’re stepping onto Massi Rocket’s Motel Calypso Records with the two-track ‘Picante’; what can listeners expect from the upcoming record?
This EP contains fresh tunes with minimal grooves that represent a sound I’ve been working on since last Winter.
What would you say makes a great DJ?
A DJ becomes great when his sound is something recognisable among others. Our job is a constant mission to connect with people through the dance-floor, playing high quality music and making good memories.
How have you been prepping for summer and where can we expect to see you playing?
I’m preparing for summer with a lot of new music to be released in the next few months; my team is currently working on the summer calendar.
Could you tell our readers how you discover new music, and which 2025 records have stood out to you so far?
I’m lucky enough to receive tonnes of promos and new music weekly. If I’m not satisfied and I need more, I select more from the stores. The most important thing is to maintain my personal standard: When I listen to the tracks, I must imagine being on the dance-floor, if it works for me, could work for the people 🙂
Do you have any passions away from the dance-floor?
I have many passions outside music such as Motorsport (especially motorcycles), Soccer and all sports in general!

People should listen to Gutta because I’m always stepping outside typical trends, I aim to offer something new to a crowd with every release and DJ set.
